Bulldogs host Grizzlies in Game 4 tonight, Tail Gate Party and BBQ at 5:30

It's a 2-1 series lead for the Bulldogs coming into play tonight after a 4-0 win over the Grizzlies last night at Dog Pound. Fans no doubt went home entertained by the return of Playoff hockey to the building. I know I sure enjoyed the great atmosphere and noise that this type of hockey brings.

It goes without saying that the stakes are pretty high tonight. A Dogs win and it's a 3-1 series lead and a chance to advance Monday in Victoria. A Grizz win and it's 2-2 and a best of 3 affair. The Dogs should be confident with where they are at, but they also need to stay focused and realize that although they have accomplished much that it's only half way. And it will only get tougher.

At the risk of sounding cheesy, the Dogs should expect the Grizzlies to not come out like the wounded bear. The Bulldogs have put themselves in this position with their all out desire, and they need to match the Grizzlies level of desperation. You only have to look back to the playoff run last year and how good the Dogs were with their backs up against the wall.

Catch Van Isle Ford Bulldogs Hockey on 93.3 The Peak FM from what's sure to be a rockin' Dog Pound. The Broadcast begins at 6:45 with the pregame show followed by the 7:00pm puck drop with play-by-play, colour/analyis and team and player stats from myself, Bruce MacDonald and Dan Tisserand.

Tonight's 2nd Intermission guest is Port Alberni Native Devin Timberlake, former Bulldog Captain, and former Captain of Brown University.

Devin's #18 is one of two Bulldog sweaters to be retired. Hunter Stewart actually wears #81 now, as he wore 18 until taking it off and presenting it to Devin at the pregame ceremony last year. Devin was also honoured this year by being inducted to the ADSS Armada Wall of Fame.

Don't forget there is a pregame BBQ/Tailgate Party sponsored by Quality Foods kicking off at 5:30 tonight so get to the rink early and grab a bite to eat!
